Plot
American Ninja is the beginning of the story of Joe Armstrong (Michael Dudikoff) who only finds respect in the form of the oriental martial arts. With a life of trouble, Joe is sent before a Judge who gives him a choice; either go to jail or enlist in the United States Marine Corp in hopes that Joe may find some small ounce of respect for authority. Here Joe meets both Curtis Jackson (Steve James) a Captain in the marines and Patricia Hickock (Judie Aronson) the daughter of Colonel Hickock (Guich Koock). When Joe’s platoon’s first assignment is to guard a convoy, the mission is thwarted by an attack from a band of ninjas. The ninjas try and kidnap Patricia but Joe stops them. However everyone else is dead in the platoon and Joe as the only survivor is found Court Martial for his attempts. Now Joe, Patricia and Captain Jackson have to prove Joe’s innocence and find the one behind the ninja attacks.
