| The Beatmaster is a fantasy film in the Conan vein. The gimmick being that our barbarian hero Dar (Marc Singer) saving the damsel in distress (Tanya Roberts), and fighting to avenge his father and regain his kingdom, can control several animals, these being a couple of ferrets, a tiger and an eagle. He is also in possession of a special multi bladed throwing weapon that he can do some quite amazing stunts with. Our hero is the rightful heir to the throne, he fights against Maax (Rip Torn), the usurper that killed his father and took the throne. Along the way he encounters monsters, sorcery and the minions of Maax. |
